There’s something special that happens when you walk into a space and feel like you belong—like you’re seen, celebrated, and supported exactly as you are. That feeling of belonging, of community, is powerful. And right now, with LGBTQIA+ rights under increasing attack, finding spaces that offer that kind of radical welcome isn’t just important—it’s essential.
That’s why right now finding community is more important than ever.
A gym might not be the first place you think of when you image Queer resistance, but maybe it should be? Especially if that gym is focused on building community. In the face of uncertainty, fear, and injustice, community becomes a lifeline. It’s where we remember that we’re not alone. It’s where we gather strength—not just physical strength, but emotional and collective strength. And for so many people, a gym focused on building community can be one of those vital places.
Quick side bar, we are often discussing all sorts of subversive topics in our small group trainings, one-on-one trainings or before or after workouts in the member area.

Community as a radical act of resistance
In a time when LGBTQIA+ people are being told, in so many ways, that we don’t belong, a welcoming and inclusive gym can be a radical act of resistance. It says: Yes, you belong here! Yes, you are worthy! Yes, we will lift each other up—literally and figuratively.
At Reimagym, we believe in the transformative power of belonging. We’re not just a gym—we’re a radically inclusive space built on the idea that every body is worthy of taking up space, moving with joy, and celebrating folks exactly where they are.
Community gyms like Reimagym are about more than squats and kettlebells (though we love those too). They’re about showing up for each other. They’re about connection, empowerment, and joy. They’re about building something stronger—together. And about standing by each other.
We’ve created a space where queer and trans folks don’t have to worry about their safety. For us, creating a space that welcomes everybody and every body is at the heart of what we do. Fitness isn’t about conforming to unrealistic standards—it’s about feeling good in your body, moving at your pace on your fitness journey and being surrounded by coaches and fellow worker outers who are supporting you and cheering you along the way.
Find your people
So if you’re feeling worn down, disheartened, or just in need of a space where you can breathe, move, and connect—come find your people. A gym rooted in community, inclusion, and finding joyful movement can be so much more than a place to workout. It can be a place to come home to yourself.
Now more than ever, community matters. And we’re here for you—every step, rep, spontaneous dance party or member sing-a-long along the way.
Until next time friends, continue to find and make community.
